In a significant effort to enhance collaboration, the Australian Defence Advisor (DA), Colonel Corey Jason Shillabeer on 3 March 2025, visited the Commandant of the Malaysian Peacekeeping Centre (MPC). This courtesy call highlights Australia’s commitment to strengthening ties and joint peacekeeping initiatives in the region.

Held at the MPC headquarter (Kofi Annan Lounge), the discussions focus on the partnership between the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and the MPC, particularly in improving training and operational capabilities. The Defence Advisor emphasized Australia’s dedication to supporting regional stability and security through shared expertise and resources.

The Malaysian Peacekeeping Centre is renowned for its training programs, while the ADF brings considerable experience in international operations. This collaboration aims to enhance both nations' effectiveness in peacekeeping efforts through training exchanges and the sharing of best practices.
